Although the results of the 2024 general election this Tuesday will not be certified by the county boards of elections until the canvass ten days after the election on November 15th, the vast majority of the ballots have been counted and are available for review in the unofficial results on the NC State Board of Elections website.
I won't belabor the particular statewide results, as I'm sure the politically savvy readers of this publication are generally aware of President Trump's victory (both statewide and nationwide), as well as the mix of Democrat and Republican victories in the rest of the statewide races (Council of State and judicial).
In this article, we will analyze the results of the election in the eleven counties of the Greater Triangle area: Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, Orange, Person, Vance, and Wake. The analysis will include:
