Apex company facing Musk-funded lawsuit? | Raleigh J6 journalist vs DOJ

Elon Musk funding lawsuit against Apex video game company?
Shortly after Elon Musk announced an intention to fund lawsuits by employees who had been “unfairly treated” due to their conduct on The Platform Formerly Known as Twitter, he was made aware of a North Carolina woman who was fired earlier this year after activists got accused her of “transphobic” twitter activity.
I interviewed Kara Lynne about the incident earlier this year:
Kara Lynne now works as a Community Relations Manager for Rippaverse Comics, a “non-woke” comic book company founded by libertarian content creator and social commentator Eric July.
Raleigh independent journalist re-threatened by DOJ over covering January 6th
Investigative journalist Steve Baker, targeted by Biden DOJ over his Jan. 6 reportage, is joining Blaze Media - The Blaze
Steve Baker, aka The Pragmatic Constitutionalist, received a grand jury subpoena last week for the footage he captured at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021 as an independent journalist. Baker and his attorneys believe this is part of an attempt by the DOJ to indict him:
Baker's attorneys agreed that the subpoena was directly related to his case and an investigation into him.
"Had they subpoenaed me directly, that's something you can't do. The subject of an investigation is never subpoenaed before the grand jury itself, but they can subpoena my work," he said.
Baker suggested that even more troubling is that "there's never a grand jury investigation into misdemeanor charges, so they're obviously trying to construct a felony indictment against me."
The DOJ had previously investigated and interviewed Baker back in 2021, but had gone radio silent for nearly two years after falsely informing Baker’s attorney in November that “Your client will be charged within the week.”
The timing of this subpoena is “highly suspicious”, according to Baker; he has been preparing to publish a “blockbuster” investigatory report. Baker is one of the few journalists who has been granted in-person access to view the 41,000 hours of Capitol security footage.
In addition, Baker was kind enough to provide an affidavit for the selective prosecution motion I filed in my own January 6th case last month.
Ahead of Municipal Elections This Fall, Durham Grapples With What’s Next for a Scandal-Plagued City Council - INDY
It’s a bit interesting to see how the “Triangle’s local, independent source for progressive news and culture” is covering the Democrat in-fighting on the Durham City Council. From allegations of soliciting bribes, to taking swings at fellow council members, to asking Wikipedia for the identity of anonymous editors, it’s been the Progressive faction of Democrats on the Durham City Council which have been responsible for the most recent scandals.
However, I believe left-wing media’s attempts to grapple with this sort of division will continue to be hamstrung by the refusal to recognize the ideology known to the right-wing as “Critical Race Theory” which appears to be undergirding the split.
