Evidence of “wokeness” highlighted ahead of oversight hearing into Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools
The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools isn’t just defying elements of the Parents’ Bill of Rights, it’s also pursuing a pro-LGBTQ agenda by working to normalize nudity, transgenderism, and homosexual “marriage” for children as young as pre-K, as well as teaching leftist talking points on “lynching,” racial identity, preferred pronouns, etc. according to material shared by NC House Majority Leader Rep. Brenden Jones (R-Columbus, Robeson) and associated GOP accounts.
The NC House Oversight committee will be holding a hearing on Wednesday, December 10 at 9 a.m. into CHCCS’s open refusal to follow the state ban on hiding a student’s “trans identity” from their parents and instructing K-4 students on sex or “gender identity.”
Ahead of the hearing, Jones (a chair of the committee) has lead the charge in highlighting “woke” elements discovered in the district, such as the following books being among recommended “resources” for young children: (¹, ², ³)
“Santa’s Husband” - about a black Santa and his homosexual “husband,” recommended for “pre-K - 2”
“Two Dads: A book about adoption” - an “affirming” story about a homosexual couple adopting a male child, recommend for “pre-K - K”
“Two Moms and a Menagerie” - described as “a great resource for schools and educationalists who want to broaden perspectives on the different types of loving families that exist today,” recommended for “pre-K - K”
“When Aidan Became a Big Brother” - about a young girl “transitioning” with the encouragement of her parents, recommended for “pre-K - 2”
“A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo” - a book mocking the Christian convictions of former Vice President Mike Pence by portraying his pet rabbit as a homosexual, recommended for “K-2”
multiple “sexually explicit recommended books for K-4th graders,” including “It Isn’t Rude to be Nude (Contains Nakedness - and That’s OK!)” and “The Bare Naked Book”
Other material released includes “sneak peeks” from audio recordings of CHCCS personnel “introducing ELEMENTARY schoolers to racial theory and pronouns” and the “political indoctrination” of teaching that racially-motivated lynchings still occur in America (¹, ²).

Are pro-illegal orgs aiding the Trump agenda?

No confirmation of ICE coming to Raleigh, Wake sheriff says - N&O
Pro-illegal activist organization Siembra NC has continued to stir up fears of ICE operations with a “very credible” report that ICE would be deploying 50 agents to the Triangle in the beginning of the week, which doesn’t seem to be supported by actual evidence of increased removal operations in the following days.
However, unlike the frequently visible and documentable raids of Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations are often more under-the-radar, including picking up deportable aliens at immigration hearings, local jails, probation appointments, etc.
Whether or not they are correct, the warnings put out by activist groups and amplified by the mainstream media may actually be helpful in accomplishing the administration’s goal of clearing the country of illegal aliens.
As per the Department of Homeland Security’s numbers, deportations are only expected to reach 600,000 by the end of the first year of President Trump’s second term in office: multiplying that by four may give a large number, but it is a number would still only be perhaps a quarter of the total illegal population in the United States, according to the more conservative estimates.
However, DHS also estimates that an additional 4 illegal aliens have self-deported for each illegal alien deported by ICE or CBP, though only a small number had their voluntary departure confirmed by the feds.
Even taking the administration’s numbers with a grain of salt, it is clear that the multiplier of self-deportation is more impactful than the number of illegal aliens physically seized and removed by law enforcement.
Thus, when the media and activist emphasis on ongoing immigration enforcement operations is effective in triggering an emotional response from the illegal immigrant community, it may in fact be advancing Trump’s agenda along two lines, both fueling a negative emotional environment for remaining illegals, and applying economic pressure by inspiring illegals to refrain from showing up for whatever work they have managed to obtain.

Man charged in connection with 12-year-old’s death appears in court - ABC11
On Friday night, Clayton police responded to reports of a fight with weapons, arriving to find a boy who had suffered a gunshot wound inside an apartment with 20-30 people present.
Upon further investigation, police learned that 12-year-old Kyrell Stewart had been negligently shot by one of multiple attendees at the possibly gang-related gathering attempting to hide their firearm from the police, who was later identified as Tyrin Anthony Zah’rel Washington, 20.
At the time, Washington was out on pretrial release after being charged with two misdemeanors for aiding and abetting and acting as an accessory after the fact for an “unknown black male” who had committed assault by pointing a gun in Selma on May 29.
The warrant was executed during a July 27 traffic stop, at which time Washington was also charged with resisting arrest, of which he was found guilty by a judge in December and sentenced to only $203 in court costs.
Although Washington was out on a $2,000 bond from the charges related to the assault with a firearm, it does not appear that the pretrial release conditions prohibited him from possessing a firearm at the time of the shooting.
Washington fled the scene, but turned himself in on Monday and was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter and granted a $50,000 bond.
Two days later, however, Washington’s charge was upgraded to second degree murder, a much more serious Class B1 felony, which requires prosecutors to prove malice. Washington has not been granted bond for the second degree murder charge.
Local Democrat party official/consultant appointed to Wake School Board

A former Enloe teacher is now the 32-year-old chair of the Wake school board - N&O
The Wake County Board of Education voted last week to fill the empty seat on the board with Jennifer Job, a vice chair of the Wake County Democratic Party and progressive political consultant.
In this weeks meeting, Republican board members Wing Ng and Cheryl Caulfield abstaining from the vote for the board’s chair and vice chair over a lack of “transparency” and the absence of any public discussion before the board voted 5-3 to select Job out of 14 candidates for consideration after a single round of voting.
“We spent more time discussing the wording of a policy in our policy committee and what punctuation mark to use than on deliberating our choice for the next District 8 representative,” said Ng in his comment period at the board’s meeting. “We make heart-wrenching budget decisions by debating the pros and cons, but we were able to make a decision on this position in less than five minutes without a single public discussion.”
Job’s resume of political experience includes working for progressive advocacy group MoveOn, Wiley Nickel’s 2018 NC Senate campaign, and her own consulting firm at which she serves clients like Red Wine & Blue, a left-wing organization which advocates for sexually explicit and pro-LGBTQ books in school libraries, and is one of the groups behind this year’s recurring anti-Trump protests.
Even Job’s 18 years of “education experience” as a high school teacher and professor is politically tinged, with her research experience including “Educating in the Age of Trump” and “Making HERstory,” a “collaboration with a social justice oriented...program.”
Raleigh pays $975,000 to settle taser heart-attack suit
The City of Raleigh has agreed to pay nearly a million dollars to settle a federal civil rights lawsuit brought by the mother of Darryl Williams, a 311 pound man who died of a heart attack after being caught with drugs and alcohol by a proactive police patrol in the middle of the night, overpowering the attempt of three officers to handcuff him, and getting tased repeatedly.
Despite the size of the payout, the city maintains that the settlement was “guided solely by its estimates of its anticipated and unavoidable legal expenses.”
