Contempt of court for Monica Ussery?, Orange Co. child transitioned at 6, 1997 Apex murderer dies on death row

Government pursues contempt of court against Monica Ussery for leaked bodycam video
After last week’s publication of bodycam footage from the first Reopen NC protest three years ago, which the Raleigh Police dispersed as a “non-essential activity”, a motion has been filed by Raleigh Police/City Attorney Sherita Walton to have Monica Ussery held in contempt of court. Ussery has been involved in a three year legal battle since being the only citizen arrested at that protest.
Ussery had been provided a selection of bodycam video only after she had already been convicted at a bench trial, and was in the process of appealing to a jury trial. Ussery made the following statement prior to the first contempt-related hearing on Thursday:
"If I'd leaked that footage myself I'd have done so BEFORE Lorrin Freeman was reelected. I'd have done so BEFORE Captain Bond's retirement."
"[It's] not even the parts I personally would've chosen to leak myself because I personally prefer the footage that proves my court testimony was truthful and a SCP officer committed perjury"
Ussery will be back in court next Thursday for a further hearing related to this motion.

Orange County Child Transitioned At The Age Of 6 Due To Being ‘Depressed And Withdrawn,’ Mom Says (Daily Caller)
An Orange County mother who transitioned her six year old child nine years ago was highlighted as part of a story on “anti-trans” bills in North Carolina. “Maddie”, now 15, has received “gender-affirming care, including puberty blockers, at Duke’s Child and Adolescent Gender Care Clinic”, according to NC Health News, a left-wing publication. “Maddie” had been “depressed and withdrawn for two years” before the transition. It is not clear to me from the article whether this was two years before the social transition at age six, or two years before the child’s mother, in concert with Duke Health, began giving him “gender affirming” treatments. As the saying goes, a “transgender” child is like a vegan pet: you know who’s really making the decisions.
Inmate on North Carolina’s death row has died, but not the way he wanted to (News & Observer)
Allen R. Holman was sentenced to death in 1998 after pleading guilty to murdering his wife (in front of an Apex police officer). At his sentencing hearing, Holman told the judge that “told the judge that he would rather be executed than spend the rest of his life in prison”. However, mandatory appeals and lawsuits challenging the death penalty kept this murderer alive on death row for 14 years before he died this week of natural causes in a Raleigh prison.
