Environmental Activists Bring Leftist Agendas to Protest at RDU Terminal

Today, a small group of activists gathered at a private RDU terminal for a protest against private jets, as documented by Ford Fischer of News2Share. The protest was organized by Scientist Rebellion as part of an international demonstration, branded as “Love in Action” for Valentine’s Day.

As the scientist leading the protest listed their “science backed” demands, like banning private jets and taxing frequent flier miles, the underlying political agenda was clearly demonstrated by a third demand: to “make polluters pay” by cancelling “Global South” debt and making the “wealthiest nations and the wealthiest people in those nations fund a just transition to green energy.” Scientist Rebellion embraces the label of “alarmist” as they are seeking a “climate revolution”.

This action didn’t last long before the RDU Police came to run them off, and the protesters left without incident.
