INTERVIEW: Rep. Erin Paré (R-Wake) proposes bill to reform Wake Co. Commissioner elections (audio)
The audio edition of This Week in the Triangle (interviews, etc.)
Today, I had the opportunity to speak with State Representative Erin Paré (R-Wake) about her bill to reform Wake County Commissioner Elections. Although there are established commissioner districts for residency requirements, the whole county still gets to vote on each of the candidates from each district. Paré’s bill would require each commissioner to be elected by the district they reside in, as well as making the races non-partisan.
