I have worked for Fidelity in the triangle for over a decade and seen it slowly turn into a h-1B shop with by far the most being Indians, I find it extremely disencourage that we have all this homegrown talent that gets completely shafted due to this, this corporations should be ashamed of what they're doing
I used to be a programmer, my career destroyed by h1b. I am 72 and have not been able to get an IT job since 2017. I cannot get other jobs because I am " Overqualified". I have ruined my family life because I have taken a job out of the area in order to keep them feed and keep the power on, I do not make enough to pay mortgage or anything new, this will end soon and we will be on the street. This is what your damn H1B brings, and now they want to do this to the engineers. Suicide is a constant thought, I would have accomplished it already if it wasn't for my family.
Wow, I don't even know what to say in response to something so heavy
It's amazing that they can get away with rejecting Americans for being "overqualified" when the justification for bringing over H-1Bs is that they have "specialized" skills/education
When we visited NC State during an open house event, the first thing that stood out were the amount of foreign students all over the university, specifically from India. We saw them working in the restaurants and walking all over. I recall saying, "Why are there so many Indians around?" I've never seen that many congregated in a university area. This was more than 20 years ago and I used to visit the university long ago and hadn't seen so many foreign students back then. The problem lies in these companies lobbying for H1B visas and local governments allowing North Carolinians to be deposed. This is the great replacement that everyone called racist and a hoax.

Great work...I hope it gets wider distribution.

Something needs to change
We went to the NC mountains and most of the visitors were Indian. I didn't know what was going on, now this all makes sense.
