At 1-2am on Monday night, two individuals in dark clothing were caught on camera vandalizing the iconic Belltower on the NC State campus, a memorial to the alumni who found and died in the first World War.
In addition to painting "Free Palestine", "Gaza", and "Rafah" on the war memorial, the vandals poured red paint on the steps, similar to the vandalism enacted on the UNC campus.
Although video of the vandalism was captured on the 24-hour livestream of the belltower, it's not clear if there is any sufficient detail to identify the perpetrators of this defacement:

NC State gets $30 million for research toward environmentally friendly protein - WRAL
NC State University announced this week that it had won a grant for $30 million over five years from the Bezos Earth Fund (BEF) to create a "Center of Sustainable Protein". This grant is part of the BEF's $1 billion "commitment to food transformation".
This center is described as a "biomanufacturing hub" which will be researching three types of "sustainable proteins":
"plant-based products"
"precision fermentation to produce proteins and nutrients that can be used in food formulations"
"cultivated meat grown from animal cells"
The center will also be partnering with four other NC academic partners: N.C. A&T State University, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Duke University, and Forsyth Tech Community College.

The North State Journal has finally received a few answers in response to records requests regarding the removal of Confederate monuments by order of Gov. Cooper during the summer of 2020.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, four statues were removed June 19-21, for a cost of $550,026.11. Although the statues were initially move to the North Carolina National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters in Raleigh, the NCDOT reported that they were no longer aware of the location of the statues.
