True trans visibility | Griffin ruling: unverified voters may cure | Five "Hands Off!" anti-Trump protests in Triangle

Transgender Day of Visibility
It's a day ending in 'y', which means it's time for leftist jurisdictions and organizations to recognize another LGBTQ holiday, this time the "Transgender Day of Visibility," whether it's Carrboro passing a resolution, or Durham sharing a mural proclaiming that "Trans Lives are Sacred:"
However, when I hear the words "transgender" and "visibility," I think of two stories in the year prior: Duke researchers publishing a paper on transgender "breastfeeding," and the trans murder cultists in Chatham:
Duke Researchers: Experimental Hormone Treatment Allows Transgender 50-Year-Old to "Breastfeed" Grandchild
Researchers at Duke released an academic article last week detailing a "case report" of a 50-year-old transgender "woman" who was given an experimental treatment to "breastfeed" his infant grandchild in 2022.
REPORT: Radical trans cultists hid out in Chapel Hill neighborhood before murdering Border Patrol agent in Vermont
Members of a militant leftist transgender cult known as the "Zizians" which are linked to at least four murders were holed up in a quiet Chatham County neighborhood near Chapel Hill for over a year prior to the latest killing associated with the group, a shootout with US Border Patrol in Vermont last month which left one agent dead, according to reporti…

NC Court of Appeals gives over 60,000 challenged voters 15 days to prove eligibility - N&O
A North Carolina Appeals Court has ruled that 60k+ voters whose ballots challenged by Republican NC Supreme Court candidate Jefferson Griffin were improperly verified, and their registrations must be cured before the votes may be counted.
These voters fall into one of two categories: military/overseas voters who did not provide a voter ID, or voters whose registration information did not contain a driver's license or Social Security number.
Although the citizens who fall into one of these two categories should be notified by mail, one can verify if they are on the list by checking the files uploaded to the NC State Board of Elections website, or using one of the various search tools created from this data.
Saudi students booted from NC State by Trump admin

Two NC State students leave the country after visas revoked by Trump administration - N&O
Two Saudi Arabians who were previously students at NC State University have had their student visas revoked, forcing them to self-deport back to their own country. The Trump administration has provided no information to the public or the university as to the reason for these cancellations, in a story that has been reported in multiple North Carolina outlets.
However, the question to me is: "why is this a news story?" There's apparently over 6,000 international students at NC State, or 17% of the student body, is this the first time that any have had their visas revoked? Are student visas now an inalienable right which is being denied, as opposed to a revocable invitation to a guest?
There is speculation that this is result of anti-Israel activities by the students, as is known to be the case for other student visas recently revoked, but there is no indication that this is the case with these students.

On Saturday, left-wing protesters across the country gathered in over 1,000 cities and towns across America to protest President Trump and Elon Musk, including 36 in North Carolina and five in the Greater Triangle area: Chapel Hill, Durham, Pittsboro, Morrisville, and Raleigh.
The size estimates of these demonstrations veers into the absurd, with NC Democratic Party Chair Anderson Clayton boldly asserting an attendance of 45,000 at the state's capital, but the actual attendance in the Triangle appears to range from thousands in Raleigh (4,000-6,000 estimate by the NC State Capitol Police Chief) to hundreds each in Chapel Hill, Durham, and Pittsboro, with the smallest in Morrisville still boasting over a hundred in attendance.
As others have noted, the demographics for these protests seems to be quite a bit whiter and older than the average protest on the left, similar to the makeup of the weekly anti-Musk protest outside the Raleigh Tesla location (currently its sixth week).
The general drive of this "mass mobilization" seems to be adequately reflected by the name "hands off;" these demonstrators are perfectly fine with the direction the nation has been going, and would like to register their strong displeasure at any attempt to change that course.
However, regardless of how strongly they feel or in what numbers they are able to gather, these protests seem unlikely to have any significant effect: the fundamental truth is that they lost at the ballot box last year to those who are not satisfied with where we are headed as a country and want to see things turned around.

N.C. nurses protest VA job cuts but department secretary says change is coming - Spectrum
On Wednesday, the nation's largest nurses union organized a demonstration hundreds of attendees outside Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center in protest of reported cuts to VA staff.
According to the VA, the cuts will be only made to "non-mission essential roles like interior designers and DEI officers," while maintaining "mission-essential jobs like doctors, nurses and claims processors."
