This Thursday, UNC students marched to deliver a petition with 700+ signatures to interim UNC Chancellor Lee Roberts in support of James "Jamie" Marsicano, an antifa activist and alleged terrorist who is a UNC Law student.
Marsicano is currently banned from the UNC-Chapel Hill campus due to the pending "domestic terrorism" charges related to an antifa action on March 5th, 2023 against the "Cop City" facility under construction in Georgia.
Although Marsicano will be able to graduate from UNC this year (he has been finishing up his last classes at Duke), the students are protesting the fact that he will not be able to participate in the UNC graduation in person.
Marsicano will reportedly be unable to take the NC bar exam while the charges are pending.
