Welcome to This Week in the Triangle!
My name is Stephen Horn, and I began publishing as an independent journalist because I was not satisfied with what stories the local mainstream media institutions were covering in 2020, and how they were covering them.
In the years since I’ve also expanded into the area of local history/culture, with a series commemorating the Semiquincentennial by covering local Revolutionary history.
I use this platform to publish original reporting, with a focus on stories that might otherwise escape the attention of the public: from investigating fraud to holding local politicians accountable to digging deep in the criminal justice system.
I also publish a “Weekly Roundup”, which contains a selection of local stories from the week; this may include original mini-stories which don’t warrant a full article, stories which merit highlighting, and stories which I believe should be examined from a different angle than how they are presented in other media:
