Election Special Report: Voting site promoting leftist activism, election result analysis
No. 97 — Nov. 3- Nov. 10, 2024
INBOX: UNC on-campus voters required to walk past exhibits promoting anti-Trump, leftist, & BLM activism
I've been sent images from the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History, which was used as a voting site on election day in Orange County.
At least one of the exhibits shown includes an image from an anti-Trump protest at Mt. Rushmore, others include images from BLM and anti-Rittenhouse/antifa demonstrations.
They also include quotes like the following:
"I think that there's just as much space for like radical anger and you know, genuine rage and circumstances as there is love and there's like a there's like an engagement between them that I think is important and like activism"
"I was just like, 'Dang, I feel powerful. I feel like I'm making an impact. I'm actually making an impact here.' And I guess this was the beginning of me realizing how much power I actually really do have."
"Activism, to me, is not just me as an individual, but everyone. I put a heart with a sunset at the top because in activism, yes, you need tolerance, which is the world and everyone holding hands and of course you need respect. But to me most of all, you need love."
More Trump sign theft, caught on camera
Courtesy of the same citizen whose cameras have got two of her neighbors arrested for vandalizing Trump signs, we have two more videos:

Election Analysis
I've put together some data from the results of Tuesday's election in the counties of the Greater Triangle area, including legislative and local races, presidential results, and the changes since 2020, which is available to paid subscribers
(this will be going out to your inboxes as well on Monday):
ICYMI
Over the weekend, local Jewish journalist/activist was arrested and charged with "cyberstalking" over a post she made to Twitter/X with images of a Harris Teeter employee who was wearing a keffiyeh expressing her support of Palestine. Days later, Wake County DA Lorrin Freeman dismissed the charges. But, is the law constitutional to begin with?
